Laem Ngop pier (for Koh Chang)
The main ferry terminal for Koh Chang, served by several operators. The last sailing is usually in the early evening, so arrive before 5pm. The crossing takes 30 to 45 minutes.
Laem Sok pier (for Koh Kood and Koh Mak)
The departure point for speedboats to Koh Kood and Koh Mak, with only a few sailings a day. Confirm the timetable with your island accommodation and plan your arrival accordingly.
Hat Lek border checkpoint
The Thai–Cambodian crossing at the country's southeastern tip, about 90 km beyond Trat town. Check opening hours and have all documents ready before travelling.
Trat town and the old market
A small but characterful town with heritage shophouses and a fresh market selling seafood and local products — a practical stop for a meal and supplies before boarding.
Ban Chuen Beach and the Trat coast
A long white-sand beach on the mainland in Khlong Yai district, quiet and uncrowded, ideal for anyone who wants good sea without taking a boat.
Noen Nang Phaya viewpoint
On the coastal road between Chanthaburi and Trat, this seaside curve is one of the finest viewpoints in the east and a natural rest and photo stop.

Frequently asked questions
How long is Bangkok to Trat?
About four to five hours depending on whether you are heading for Trat town, Laem Ngop pier, or the Hat Lek border a further 90 km on. Leave Bangkok by 8am if you need to catch a boat the same day.
Does ฿5,500 include the ferry?
No. The ฿5,500 covers the one-way vehicle charter with fuel, motorway tolls, driver and water only. Koh Chang ferries and Koh Kood speedboats are paid at the pier and vary by operator and season.
Which piers can you drop at?
All of them — Laem Ngop for Koh Chang, Laem Sok for Koh Kood and Koh Mak, and the Hat Lek checkpoint for Cambodia crossings. Tell us the exact pier or destination at booking so we can plan the timing correctly.
Should we book the return from Koh Chang in advance?
Yes. Vehicles waiting at Laem Ngop are limited, especially on long weekends. Tell us your return ferry date and time when booking the outbound leg and we will have a van waiting as the boat docks.
Can we stop in Chanthaburi on the way?
Yes, it is directly en route — a walk through the riverside old town or a meal is easy to fit in. For longer or multiple stops, a daily or hourly charter is more flexible. Send the plan on LINE and we will quote the best-value option.
How much is a taxi from Bangkok to Trat?
Our private van taxi from Bangkok to Trat is a fixed price per vehicle, one way: Toyota Commuter ฿5,500 (9–13 seats) or Toyota Alphard ฿12,000 (6–7 seats), including driver, fuel, tolls and drinking water — no meter and no surcharge for luggage. Pickup from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airport is the same fare. The return from Trat costs the same.
On a full-day charter, what if we go over the time or distance?
If the van and driver stay with your group all day (same-day return or sightseeing stops), packages start at 12 hours · 360 km (Commuter ฿7,500 / Alphard ฿18,000). Extra time is ฿300 per hour for the Commuter or ฿600 per hour for the Alphard, and extra distance is ฿25/km (Commuter) or ฿45/km (Alphard). Entrance tickets are extra, and if you add stops or change plans along the way, we always tell you the price difference first.
