Laem Sok pier
The departure point for speedboats and ferries to Koh Kood and Koh Mak, run by several companies. Check your boat time with your ticket or resort before travelling.
Chanthaboon Waterfront
The old riverside quarter of Chanthaburi, with wooden houses and long-running eateries, right on the way; a good lunch stop if your boat time allows.
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Chanthaburi
A historic Catholic cathedral by the Chanthaburi River, next to the Chanthaboon waterfront; a short visit is enough.
Trat town
The small town before Laem Sok, with markets and restaurants. If the morning boat is too early, stay the night in Trat and reach the pier in the morning.
Khlong Chao Waterfall, Koh Kood
The island's best-known waterfall, with a pool for swimming; strongest towards the end of the rainy season. On the island, use resort transport or rent a vehicle.
Koh Mak
A small, quiet island near Koh Kood. Several boats from Laem Sok stop at Koh Mak too, so tell us your island when booking to match the sailing.

Planned back from your boat time

Does the van cross to Koh Kood?
No, we drop you at Laem Sok pier and you take the boat across, around 1 to 1.5 hours by speedboat. On the island, most resorts collect guests at the pier.
How long from Bangkok to Laem Sok pier?
About 5 hours for the roughly 330 km via Motorway 7 and Sukhumvit Route 3 through Rayong and Chanthaburi, longer on holiday weekends.
Does ฿6,500 include the boat ticket?
No. ฿6,500 is the one-way Commuter charter covering fuel, motorway tolls, driver and water. Boat tickets are paid to the boat company, and accommodation and island transport are separate.
What time do we need to leave Bangkok?
It depends on your boat. Allow about 5 hours of driving plus at least 30–60 minutes to check in at the pier. Send us your ticket time and the team works out the pickup; if the boat leaves very early, we suggest a night in Trat.
Is a pickup from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang the same price?
Yes. Bangkok and both airports are the same origin zone: ฿6,500 in a Commuter and ฿12,000 in an Alphard. Send your flight number so we can follow your real landing time.
Can we book the return journey in advance?
Yes, and we recommend it. The return from Laem Sok pier to Bangkok or the airport is the same fare as the outbound: Toyota Commuter ฿6,500 or Toyota Alphard ฿12,000 per vehicle. Give us your return date and boat time and a van will be waiting when the boat docks.
